Best Looks at the 2015 Met Gala

Last night marked the 44th annual Met Gala, which takes place each year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in none other than New York City. It is arguably the most fashionable event and most glamorous evening of the year. Only about six-hundred fifty to seven-hundred guests attend with a total of about two-hundred twenty-five photographers. Unlike many high-profile red carpet events, this one is not televised. The main focus of the gala is to celebrate the opening of the Costume Institute’s latest exhibition, while simultaneously fundraising for the Institute.
Fans of the fashion crowd will all agree that the best part of the Met Gala is the theme. With each year comes a new theme, some of the past including Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty; Charles James: Beyond Fashion; and this year’s being China: Through the Looking Glass. Guests are expected to pull all the stops to represent the designated look, and while most do, there are some who reject it all the same. This night is a big one for designers as well, who have the chance to establish themselves in the fashion world by dressing one or more of the few lucky guests.
Here I have — in no particular order — my list of the best-dressed attendees of this year’s Costume Institute Gala. Not only did they look impeccable, but they also embodied the theme and reminded all of us who were watching why we love this event so very much.

  1. where is beyonce???

    1. I didn't include Beyoncé because I didn't think her outfit was in good taste and she completely disregarded the theme!
