Fashion Tribute to the Oscars

The Oscars

It's finally arrived, after waiting for a year that seems to have lasted an eternity. The most acclaimed movie awards ceremony of all time: The Oscars. Later, we will see all of Hollywood's most prestigious actresses descend down the red carpet looking like a million bucks in the latest gowns.

Here at WRITTEN CITIZEN, we have composed our dream outfit in tribute of the big night.

Valentino Dress £4,090; Miu Miu Platforms £905; Valentino Clutch £1,020; Gucci Earrings £1,945; Kimberly McDonald Ring £4,550; Amsterdam Sauer X Bianca Brandolini Bangle £5,170; Burberry Lipstick £21; Dior Eye-shadow £40; Elie Saab Perfume £63

In previous years, many famous faces have graced the Oscars wearing Valentino dresses, and this year will be no exception. Valentino can truly do no wrong when it comes to stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces, and this draw-dropping pink silk gown would definitely wow the crowds.
With Seventies' Glam being this season's must have trend, this dress is perfect as it is simple yet sophisticated with a vintage flare. Although the choice of footwear may seem impractical, platforms give height while still being comfortable. The bejeweled heel adds a subtle sparkle to the outfit without being overly tacky — a little tacky is good.
The jewelry chosen to accompany the outfit also continues with the seventies feel, along with the clutch with gold studs, which ties the whole look together in coordination.
Not forgetting cosmetics — which is obviously a vital aspect in completing the entire semblance — both the lipstick and the eye-shadow have natural tones without being dull, so it does not take away from the outfit. The purpose of the cosmetics chosen are to accentuate features, rather than overshadow them.

Well there you have it — a perfect outfit for the best awards ceremony out there. May the best contender win!
